Former McDonald's executive succeeds Gilbert on an interim basis
Ed Rensi has been appointed interim chief executive officer for Famous Dave's. Rensi succeeds John Gilbert, who resigned.
Rensi, who also serves on Famous Dave's board of directors, spent the majority of his career at McDonald's U.S.A., rising to president from 1984 to 1991 and then president and CEO through 1997. He also founded the Tom & Eddies restaurant chain and started and owned Team Rensi Motorsports, which competed in the NASCAR Nationwide Series.
