Welcome To Our New Staff Blog!
April 28, 2008
During the last year or so, we've spent countless hours researching the ways in which our readers retrieve and prefer to retrieve their information. Despite the rapid advancements of web technology, many of you, our readers, still love the tangible nature of reading our monthly print issues. A good number of you enjoy our e-newsletters that you can read via your blackberries while on the road, or while seated before your office or home computers. Another handful of you appreciate the content on our website, where you can surf through pages at your leisure, or search for specific information. Still, most of you, as we found in our research, prefer a combination of these services.
Now, by introducing our FE&S staff blog, E&S Extra, we hope to offer our readers yet another way of receiving information about the E&S industry and beyond. There is only so much we can cover in our print issues while working on tight deadlines, and the same goes for our e-newsletters.
We strive to give you the latest, breaking news, analyses, trend info and other tidbits and happenings in our industry via our staff blog, E&S Extra. We also want to position this blog as a casual forum where you can visit for weekly updates, post comments, and essentially, "talk amongst yourselves," as Mike Meyer’s SNL character Linda Richman would say on"Coffee Talk."
We encourage you to use our new "talkback" feature to post your comments, whether that's positive feedback, questions, concerns, or constructive criticism. And, in acknowledging the somewhat "Wild Wild West" nature of the still blossoming internet, we only ask that your comments refrain from inappropriate or vulgar language, of course, so we can make this space as pleasing as possible for all our readers. Not like you would use that language, but hey, we just need to throw that out there.
Thank you in advance for your wonderful feedback, and most importantly, for your readership and support.
Sincerely,
The FE&S Team

Hey Amelia! Congratulations on getting the blog started. I know it will eventually be a great way for dealers, manufacturers, and end-users to communicate.
