BJ’s Restaurants, Corner Bakery Café, Krispy Kreme, Mimi’s Café and Yum! Brands all reported expansion results for their restaurant chains during the past week.
BJ's Restaurants opened a new location in San Rafael, Calif. The BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse measures 8,500 square feet and seats approximately 270 guests. The company owns and operates 91 casual dining restaurants under the BJ's Restaurant & Brewery, BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse or BJ's Pizza & Grill brand names.
Corner Bakery Cafe announced a deal with franchisee PhaseNext Hospitality to open a dozen units in non-traditional locations during the next five years. Owned and operated by CBC Restaurant Corp., Corner Bakery has more than 115 company-owned and franchised locations throughout the country.
Krispy Kreme Doughnut Corporation announced today that it has entered into an agreement with KDN Company Limited for the development of 20 franchise Krispy Kreme retail shops in Thailand during the next five years.
Mimis Cafe announced the opening of a location in Stockton, Calif. The restaurant chain operates 144 locations in 24 states.
Yum! Brands, Inc. opened its 13,000th restaurant outside the U.S. and China. Operated by the company's international division, Yum! Restaurants International (YRI), this India location is Yum! Brands' first KFC with a Krushers store-in-store concept.
