Chain Operating Report

Landry’s, Max & Erma’s and other chains release operating reports.

• Landry’s Restaurants Inc. signed an agreement for Tilman Fertitta, chairman, president and chief executive officer, to acquire the company. Terms of the agreement are still undergoing negotiation.
• G&R Acquisition Inc., parent company of Max & Erma’s, announced it signed an agreement to purchase Damon’s International, for an undisclosed sum. Damon’s owns 17 company-owned restaurants and 48 franchised restaurants.
• Whataburger signed an agreement to acquire its largest franchisee, Barrand Inc., a Red Oak, Texas-based company with 47 Whataburger restaurants in northeast Texas and the Florida Panhandle.
