Chain Expansion Report

Brinker, Uno and other chains release expansion information.

  • Brinker International signed an agreement with TDE, a new franchise partner, to develop five new Chili’s Grill & Bar restaurants in the southwest greater Toronto area including Brampton, Hamilton, Kitchener, Mississauga, Richmond Hill and Oakville by 2013. 
  • BJ’s Restaurants opened a location in Greenwood, Ind., a suburb of Indianapolis, bringing the total number of stores to 71 systemwide. 
  • Pizza Inn opened a restaurant in Spring, Texas, to be operated by franchisee Tony Naqvi.
  • Uno Chicago Grill signed a development agreement with Sofra LLC to open 20 restaurants in nine countries including Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Egypt, Kuwait, Jordan, Oman and Bahrain.
