Chain Expansion Report

Del Taco and other chains release expansion information.

  • California Pizza Kitchen opened a restaurant in Plymouth Meeting, Pa. The chain also opened a location in Mexico City, Mexico, its third location in that country.
  • Del Taco signed a development deal to open three stores in the Charlotte, N.C., area.
  • Romano’s Macaroni Grill announced plans to open a restaurant in Honolulu in November, which will be the chain’s second location in that state. 
  • Chain Operating Report
    O’Charley’s and other chains report operating results.
  • O’Charley’s reported same-store sales increased 0.8 percent at O’Charley’s, 0.7 percent at Ninety Nine Restaurants and 0.6 percent at Stoney River Legendary Steaks for the first quarter ending April 20.
  • Steak n Shake reported same-store sales decreased 6.3 percent for the first quarter ending April 9.
