IHOP Corp. Appoints Archer President of Applebee’s

IHOP Corp. announced the appointment of Michael Archer to president of Applebee’s International Inc., effective May 27. In this position, Archer will be accountable for leading the overall strategic direction for all functional areas of Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill and Bar. 

Archer most recently served as president and chief operating officer of T.G.I. Friday’s U.S.A., a subsidiary of Carlson Restaurants Worldwide Inc. Prior to that, Archer served as chief executive officer of Z’Tejas Southwestern Grill, and has also served as COO for Sullivan’s, where he developed the Sullivan’s Steakhouse and Lone Star Steakhouse and Saloon concepts. He has also served as president and COO of Morton’s of Chicago Inc.
