Max & Erma’s Bought by G&R Acquisition

Max & Erma’s signed an agreement to be acquired by G&R Acquisition Inc., an entity formed by Gary Reinert Sr., of Pittsburgh. The company’s current management will remain in place.

The boards of directors of both Max & Erma’s Co. and G&R have unanimously approved the proposed transaction. Rob Lindeman, president and chief executive officer of Max & Erma’s, said the transaction will help the chain “avoid the costly and complex requirements of being a public company.”
