BAMCO Celebrates April 22 Earth Day

Bon Appetit Management Co. launched the Low Carbon Diet, a nationwide commitment to lower by 25 percent the carbon footprint generated by the food they serve in their college, museum and corporate cafes and restaurants. The Palo Alto, Calif.-based foodservice management company also launched an online Low Carbon Diet calculator, which uses a carbon count point system.
The Low Carbon menus will feature a reduction in packaging and food waste. The menus will also feature reduced amounts of beef and cheese as well as produce sourced exclusively from North America, and local where possible.
