PMR Merges with Southern Manufacturers Reps and Culinary Equipment Solutions

PRESS RELEASE - PMR, foodservice equipment representatives out of Norcross, Georgia announced plans for a merger with Southern Manufacturers Reps out of Nashville TN. The new organization will keep the PMR name and will consolidate Hatco, Thermo-Kool and Ice-O-Matic under the PMR brand.
Industry consolidation and sales growth opportunities prompted the strategic merger between the two companies, execs said. PMR is a well respected sales organization that has been in business for almost 40 years. Behind the leadership of Mike Hensley, Tom Bernhard and Shannon Steward, PMR has been recognized for sales efforts by many of their manufacturers and customers including Ruby Tuesday vendor of the year.
Mike Whitten, the owner of Southern Manufacturers Reps will become a partner of PMR. Whitten, formally the owner of RepsSouth Inc. has been given many sales awards including the Cracker Barrel Sales Representative of the Year and the prestigious Cracker Barrel – “Uncle Hershel Award”. He has received Delfield’s – “Rick Zimmer Award” and twice awarded Delfield’s “Heavy Hitter Award”.
Also, effective February 1, 2010, Culinary Equipment Solutions (CES) will be merging with PMR to form PMR West. PMR West will cover MAFSI Region 14 (AR, MS, LA and West TN) and will represent some of the top lines in the foodservice equipment industry including Blodgett, Pitco and Magikitch’n. Jason Jones and Stuart Olivier along with Lisa Wasmund, will be assisted by the inside team at PMR.
