Southern New Hampshire University teamed up with Sodexo, Inc. in the $13 million remodeling of its now two-story, 47,700-square-foot Dining Center. The newly remodeled facility, which seats 632 people, incorporates a restaurant-style dining experience, complete with wait staff crews and chef-driven menu items. The new array of culinary options ranges from international dishes in the Euro station to flatbread pizzas in LaTrattoria. The Global Cuisine also features a Mongolian grill for stir-fry dishes.
"The new Dining Center is so much more than a new place to eat; it provides a variety of study and social spaces with more functional rooms allowing us to host larger audiences for a broader range of events,” said SNHU President Paul LeBlanc.
The center also features “green” components, including a Web-based energy management system that allows for daily temperature regulation, along with occupancy censors for lighting efficiency, auto-flush urinals and enhanced HVAC systems for maximizing the building's sustainability capacity.
