California Pizza Kitchen, Captain D’s, CKE, Daphne’s and The Greene Turtle announce expansion plans and more.
California Pizza Kitchen, Inc. (Nasdaq:CPKI) announced that Gourmet Gulf Company will develop 19 restaurants throughout the Middle East over the next 10 years. During the term of the agreement at least one California Pizza Kitchen restaurant is planned to open in each of the following Persian Gulf countries: United Arab Emirates, State of Kuwait, Sultanate of Oman, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, State of Qatar and the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Sagittarius Brands announced it put up Captain D’s Seafood Kitchen for sale. The chain operates 537 units around the country.
CKE Restaurants, Inc. (NYSE: CKR) announced two franchise agreements that will bring an additional 31 Carl’s Jr.® restaurants to Texas over the next nine years.
Fast-casual chain Daphne’s Greek Cafe chain filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection this week.
Casual dining and sports bar chain The Greene Turtle opened its 24th location, this one in the Marketplace at Potomac Station in Leesburg, Va. The new Leesburg restaurant is the first of three franchise locations to be opened in Northern Virginia by partners Sattar Shaik and Praveen Kondoka.
