Call for Entries for the 2009 FE&S Tabletop Performance Awards

Foodservice Equipment & Supplies magazine announces a call for entries for the 2009 Tabletop Performance Awards. Manufacturers, dealers, distributors, manufacturers' reps, tabletop specifiers, consultants and foodservice operators are eligible to apply.
To be eligible, tabletop packages must have been installed on or after Jan. 1, 2007, and FE&S must receive the entries by Aug. 17, 2009.
The awards recognize excellence in permanentware tabletop design by selecting one winner in each of the following five categories:
• An independent restaurant with a per-person check average less than $30
• An independent restaurant with a per-person check average above $30
• On-site foodservice (e.g., patient feeding, school dining, employee dining)
• Catering/banquet facility (no check-average requirement)
• Club/Resort
Judges will select a winner based on how well the tableware does the following:
• Supports the concept or theme of a new or redesigned operation
• Establishes a signature identity for the operation
• Reflects a change in concept (e.g., from upscale to casual or vice versa)
• Refreshes/updates table appearance in an existing facility
• Functions in daily use (i.e., is easy to handle and care for, is strong, durable and appropriately replaceable)
