When used properly, air curtains keep heated or conditioned air inside of a building and inclement weather outside, decreasing energy consumption and increasing occupants' comfort.
Air curtains will soon have a more pivotal role in climate control due to the U.S. Congress’ Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007, which mandates that walk in coolers and freezers manufactured on or after Jan. 1, 2009, have a method of minimizing infiltration when doors are open.
As for efficiency and energy savings, air curtains usually provide a return on investment in as little as two years. Currently, many states offer energy-saving rebates for customers using air curtains.
