Pizza Fusion, the organic, green-focused pizza chain based in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., tapped Mark Begelman to replace Vaughan Lazar, the chain’s co-founder, as chief executive officer. Begelman most recently served as president and chief operating officer of Home Depot.
Begelman will oversee Pizza Fusion's franchise development and support systems as well as direct the company through the chain’s already aggressive growth with more than 75 franchises in development in 15 states. Pizza Fusion announced earlier this year plans to open 500 U.S. franchises during the next five years.

I am still here holding the title of President and still oversee all of the culture of the organization and our environmental initiatives as well as marketing efforts.
I am personally honored to be working alongside Mark as he oversees the tremendous growth that lie ahead. He is very sensitive to the core values that Pizza Fusion was founded on and there is a mutual respect and bond that we all share that makes this such a perfect fit for Pizza Fusion.
