• Chili’s opened its first Singapore store.

• Dunkin’ Donuts opened a store in Raleigh, N.C.- its 15,000th unit system wide.

• McDonald's reported global same-store sales increased 5.1 percent in May. Sales increased 2.8 percent in the U.S., 7.6 percent in Europe and 6.4 percent for the Asia/Pacific, Middle East and Africa stores.

• Pizza Fusion plans to partner with Compass Group to bring stores to colleges and universities nationwide.

• Red Robin Gourmet Burgers opened a store in Gilbert, Ariz.

• Smashburger plans to open first franchise stores in Colorado and Texas.

• Wendy’s/Arby’s Group, Inc. signed an agreement with Saudi Arabia-based Al Jammaz Group to build 135 dual-branded Wendy’s and Arby’s restaurants in nine countries in the Middle East and North Africa during the next decade.
